Significant features
– The 2026 Toyota GR GT is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid powertrain, with outputs of 478 kW/850 Nm.
– Power unit has been developed in-house by Toyota and paired with an electric motor that’s integrated into the rear transaxle.
– System drives the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential.
– Utilises an aluminium chassis with carbon fibre reinforced plastic body panels and a CFRP torque tube.
– The two-seater weighs 1750kg and has a claimed top speed of 320km/h.
– Track mode and adjustable stability control.
– Double wishbone suspension featuring forged aluminium arms.
– Forged 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
– Carbon ceramic Brembo brake package.
– Red leather and Alcantara seats, dash and centre console, contrasting with the black steering wheel, dash top, widescreen infotainment screen, and centre stack trim.
– Digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters and a flat-bottom GR steering wheel with red stitching.
– There will also be a GT3 version that shares the same V8, suspension and key hardware with the GR GT road car.
– The GT3 will make its competition debut in the GT3 class of the World Endurance Championship next season.
– No pricing or showroom timing has been announced yet – nor any plans for Australia.
