In 2025, Melbourne will once again host the opening round of the Formula 1 World Championship, held at the Albert Park circuit. The event will be held from Thursday 13 March to Sunday 16 March 2025.
The announcement comes with the release of the 2025 season calendar, which will feature 24 races. As the first race in 2025, the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit will see Lewis Hamilton’s debut with Ferrari. Carlos Sainz will lose his seat at Ferrari, while several other driver contracts have yet to be confirmed, meaning the 2025 grid could look drastically different when F1 returns to Melbourne. In 2024, a record-breaking estimated attendance of 452,055 at Albert Park surpassed the previous attendance records set in both 2022 and 2023.
