Tampered Motorsport is back!
It feels like a long time ago since I did my last Tampered Motorsport track day at Sandown, back in January of this year. There was another event held in March, however I couldn’t make it as money was required for a house deposit. The next event planned for attendance was in May.

It’s natural to be nervous about a big occasion, but as the time got closer to competing in my first track day with Tampered Motorsport, nerves started to get a hold of me. I’ve had my 1990 Nissan 300ZX for eight months, but the week before the event, the car was in at the mechanic getting some items finished off before the big day.

Toyota 86 Racing Series
The Toyota 86 Racing Series is a one make series that started in 2016. Affordability is the key to the series with a target price of approximately $70,000 to get a car track prepared. It’s aimed at giving younger drivers with limited budgets an opportunity to compete in motorsport. Given that the Toyota 86 series runs at selected Supercar rounds including Phillip Island, Townsville, Sydney, Bathurst and Newcastle, the exposure that competitors have to Supercar teams is invaluable.
