– Toyota has unveiled new upgrades for the rally-bred GR Yaris at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
– A new eight-speed automatic transmission is now available. The car was previously only available with a six-speed manual.

– The Toyota GR 86 is the third model in the GAZOO Racing series of sports cars, including the GR Supra and GR Yaris.
– A larger, more powerful horizontally opposed boxer engine, with an increase in displacement from 2.0 to 2.4 litres. Maximum power is boosted to 173kW and torque is now 250Nm, with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
The Toyota Supra built an impressive reputation as one of the finest performing sports-cars for the road and an all-conquering machine on the racetrack. A one off Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier this year and a camouflaged production version made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
